As far as I’m concerned TEDx events are one of the best things that have happened in the world of continuing adult education this past decade. Imagine a day filled with brilliant speakers offering a suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that are idea-focused, and cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter, and you’ll have the shadow of an idea of what those events are.
There are now several thousands TEDx events organized every year worldwide. Each event has 10 to 20 presentations that last anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. Eventually the video of each is posted on youtube.com for free public access (at the time of this writing there were over 126,000 of them.) The best place to get started your exploration is here.
Dozens of leading experts in the world of laughter therapy have presented on a TEDx platform. Here is my ego-boost of the day: As of 2019 I remain the only one who’s presented there twice.
Here are the videos of my two laughter TEDx.
2017: TEDx Manhattan Beach (USA)
2018: TEDx Patras (Greece)
